Everyone dance to their own beat.

He stared out of the window as the weather turned still dry with a bit of sunshine secretly playing hide and seek with the clouds. It did say that the rain was expected and yet he was still out. Rain never bothered him, anyway. In a matter of seconds just like that the weather suddenly dark and a slow drizzle started. He seemed unbothered by the change is weather outside until he started to notice.

The music was evidently loud in his ears and if he had paid attention, the person a few away could clearly tell which song he was listening to. The coffee shop had the same songs on shuffle, and he needed something to make him jump up metaphorically in his head, that is. And despite the volume at max, it didn’t seem be enough. Some voices are often too loud. He had a lot to think about and he had the luxury of getting accompanied by all of those thoughts, not one leaving his side. Each one was a to-do item and yet he was there sitting in uncomfortable chair of the coffee shop, sipping an overpriced coffee for the second time that day and of course the random music that he keeps skipping trying to find the correct music for the mood he was in, to turn into something better.

The slow drizzle suddenly turned into a heavy downpour, though no cats and dogs were harmed but it did rain cats and dogs. He peeked up from his otherwise unfocused gaze at the laptop screen. He wasn’t doing much except trying to find inspiration in shopping carts and window shopping. Oh wait, he was distracted, which seemed to be the default settings. He could suddenly see the shadows moving in front of him, as silhouettes under the rainy street lights. But there was something different, something new.

They were dancing to the music they knew nothing of. The music was his, the dance was perhaps the people going about their day, the nature being its dramatic self. And yet there was a certain rhythm to it, as if everything was in perfect sync, in perfect harmony complimenting each other. And perhaps the moments like these is what life is all about.
