Comfort is what we keep looking for. At some point of time, the definition of comfort changes but at the core of it all, we all are looking for the same, something synonyms of comfort, if our definition is a bit side lined. Some find comfort in working too hard, some find comfort in the promise of a better tomorrow, while some in the way the things are going. But among all these, what could possibly go wrong?
______
You are getting too comfortable doing nothing. At some point of time, the not-so-normal however compromise it might be, seems more like normal. You will lose the zeal to be competitive and get accustomed to the normal lifestyle that you are building around yourself. Unless you get out of your comfort zone, you will not really explore what is actually to be explored about you.
Aren’t we all, well some of us, okay okay, it’s just me, comfortable in our bubble and wonder what the world would be like outside this bubble of ours. We will daydream of the innumerable possibilities and how content and happy we could be if we did just that, or perhaps if that happened to me. Don’t get me wrong, we are happy in our bubble. Well, that’s a lie, isn’t it? We are happy knowing that … or perhaps assuming that it is all okay, if we didn’t too much of anything. Just stick to the routine that we got so used to and things just might fall into place, they just might, if they aren’t already. Sometimes, things don’t fall into place, but the life around moves on, while we are still reeling the same day of our lives over and over and over again. Eventually, we don’t even want to look beyond the purview of our closed bubble. And how can they even? How can things fall in place when there is nothing we are doing about it? All we are doing is nothing and just hoping that things will get better. Get better! Apparently, the normal that we are so getting used to is not entirely what we had aspired to have, even if might seem comfortable, it really isn’t. It’s just a facade we put forth for the people around us, so that they don’t look down on us, while we look up at them and wonder, what if, but then again we got so used to the routine, the normal, that we hesitate to even think, let alone try. We move on, by being that normal that we come to despise and not in a position to do anything about it. We move on, by being in the same place we had started. Then again, maybe it is not even called moving on, but being stuck in the same scene replaying over and over again.

Blessed are the souls who have the opportunity to get out from their comfort zones. 🙂
They indeed are blessed souls.
But it’s not the waiting for the opportunity that makes them blessed, it is creating an opportunity, all by themselves. 🙂
I agree… But there are some people who can’t get out of their comfort zone not because they don’t want, but because they are confined.
That’s what I have mentioned very thoroughly in the post, haven’t I? 🙂
Yes, you pointed that out ajay 🙂
Yes. You are pointing the same back to me? -_-
Nope, it is actually for myself. Lol! Am I confusing you?
No. You’re not confusing me.
I hope you’re not confusing yourself. 😛
Oh ha ha. I think I’m good. Where’s the new AtoZ post for today? 😉
You sure?
Because you told me what you wanted to tell yourself. 😛
