Standing Tall. “Do not touch or Climb!”
– Belur, Karnataka
The pillars stands on a flat surface with no support at all. It is said that people would climb the pillar and stand at the top of it. It is also believed that people have tried to make it fall. Hence, the notice saying “Do not touch or climb“.

I know. And just to make something clear, this is not a comparing contest. You Delhiites, sigh. Congratulations on polluting the environment and then praising the monuments for still standing tall. I am from the same country as you are, FYI. Don’t get regional with me.
That’s what happens when you don’t make your statement clear.
I posted about something. You wrote about totally unrelated subject. Which does seem like you are boasting about your city’s Iron pillar.
If you happen to ask something, start appropriately with a question or something.
You need to start with the topic at hand. Like this post. Either write a comment about it or a question or something. Then you could proceed with your queries.
